Bean Throwing Festival at the Temple, Willen Lake
All are invited to the Bean Throwing Festival SETSUBUN-E. the Japanese celebration of the eve of the beginning of Springtime. Throwing beans symbolises getting rid of negative energy (bad spirits) and welcoming in positive energy (good spirits) for the start of Spring.5.00pm-6.00pm PRAYER

Guest Speaker Ruth Barnett will tell her personal story ."Hope for the Human Race",which will illustrate the need for all genocides and other atrocities to be acknowledged and faced so that the process of mourning and commemoration can lead to resolution and the hope of a future for the human race.
Ruth Barnett aged four, came to England with her seven year old brother on the Kindertransport in 1939. After working as a teacher and then a psychotherapist, she now gives talks, seminars and workshops on "The Holocaust, racism and genocide" and "Understanding Trauma and the transmission of Trauma".
