Jubilee Rickshaw Cyclists arrive in Milton Keynes on the way to Edinburgh for G8. 21st.June 2005

MAKE POVERTY HISTORY

White Bands were tied around the City Shopping Centre by children from 36 schools - 10,000 signatures, now on their way to Edinburgh.

The City Church was wrapped in a WHITE BAND of signatures on 25th June with another 5000 signatures. Ann Smith, CAFOD, gives her parishes signatures to be counted by Barbara.

At the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the inauguration of the Peace Pagoda a big WHITE BAND was tied around the Peace Pagoda and thousands of signatures encircled the base.

A big White Band was tied round the Oak Tree in Midsummer Place.

To help with the Fair Trade Stall, helping with the Just Suppers and in many other ways we have not even thought of.

Milton Keynes had its own Fairtrade shop-SUST! in the Food Centre which was closed after 5 successful years in February 2009. But you can still find a range of FAIRTRADE goods at Christ the Cornerstone Kiosk and in many supermarkets especially the Co-op.
